Summary: A set of activities with provided support, platforming, and resources to pursue activities relevant to new member interest. Goal is to help build the portfolio of members and help provide them a strong launch with their passion.

  • Ideas for member engagement - Podcasts, Article Writing, Providing Workshops 3 each
  • Every intern is involved in this program for now and every interested member gets assigned a liaison
  • TASK - Survey to members about which to prioritize
    • Podcast Track: 3 podcasts hosted by MF members
      • Tasks
        • Identify 3 members who host podcasts and secure 1x a month for up to 2 new members to be highlighted - Recommend good camera and microphone so create a shopping list
          • Create recommendation guide to attire
          • What makes an ideal guest
          • Help with designing talking points
            • Behringer can help with this
          • Engaging and promoting your appearance
        • Stretch Task not immediate: Interview each member on how they started a podcast
          • Review podcast starting materials online and create a guide or refer to one
          • Create a quick start shopping list for both hardware and software
        • Medicine Forward always gets a shoutout with links and a call to action for people to join and be a guest on the podcast
    • Article Team: Articles written by MF members
      • Tasks
        • Identify 3 members who regularly write articles - Behringer is one
          • Coordinate with MF Newsletter team to have sections for new authors
          • LinkedIn Guide and recommendation/templates
          • Reaching out to professional societies to author pieces in interest journals
            • Task of finding 3 platforms that would be open to this. The DO is a good place for osteopathic physicians but we need 2 more for general medicine
          • How to use templates and how to post and support
            • Have a hashtag and @ database for engagement purposes
            • Have a standardized endorsement from Medicine Forward with link to join and get involved
        • Stretch Task: How to compile into a book - Todd would be a good resource
    • Workshop Team: Workshops run by MF members
      • Tasks
        • Identify 3 members who regularly provide workshops - Behringer is one
          • Organize for MF to host monthly Rising Star Workshops that use our templates and model for new members to try and present. These can be asynchronous
          • Network with universities or interns to provide workshops for pre-med and med school groups
            • Develop a database of relationships we have with different organizations
          • Design a template for 30 and 60 min presentations with presentation advice
            • Find examples from previous presenters
          • After every presentation thank Medicine Forward with standardized endorsement and how to get involved. Post to social media etc.
        • Stretch Goal: Keynote speaking
  • Once members get through complete 3 of one activity they are an Apprentice, complete 2 is Joruneyman, 3 is Master and Mentor who is put in our database as someone who can be contacted for assistance and will be placed in a MF Hall of Fame or something.
    • If members have previous activities but want to be hosted on MF platform we will credit up to 1 of each activity (They enter as an apprentice)
